Understanding death in the digital age stirs a reflection on contemporary beliefs and evolving funeral trends such as secular ceremonies, eco-friendly burials, and digital cemeteries. In response to this shifting landscape, EVA emerges as an adaptive concept, designed not as a mere technological transformation of old rituals but as a response to the values shaping modern and future societies—secularization, rationalism, science, and environmentalism.

EVA seeks to redefine the funeral industry by offering a comprehensive service that aligns with individuals' identities, personalities, and values during the dying process. The platform introduces a holistic mortuary service, enabling users to cultivate a post-mortem identity in the cyberspace while actively addressing the environmental footprint associated with their digital activity. From footprint offset calculators to content filtering tools, EVA creates a guiding platform that transforms the perception of death into one that is open, destigmatized, and connected to nature.

EVA is a platform that redefines the mortuary process by offering a fresh perspective on death aligned with contemporary paradigms and emerging values. It envisions a harmonious relationship between human existence, the body and the planet, utilizing services that actively offset the environmental footprint left by the departed. EVA seeks to revolutionize societal views on death, challenging the somber narrative imposed by Western religious traditions. From restructuring funeral rituals to the concept of eternal peace, EVA transforms mourning into an act of reciprocity with the Earth, framing the idea of "resting in peace" as a karmic achievement obtained through acknowledging and reciprocating the abundance of gifts nature provided during our existence.
